He can be a bit tricky and pesky, always getting in the way, and appears to be bad-tempered, but he's just a testy little guy. He's also easily startled and hard to control when he's spooked, but when he's being ridden by someone who's established a strong trust bond with him, he can eventually be calmed down. He's antsy, is always moving, and seems to dislike every human on the planet. Ghetty is Dylan's go-to horse and has been his partner for a few years, so the two have had plenty of time to figure each other out.
History: Ghetty was born at a small family farm, an accident caused by a thoroughbred stallion jumping over the fence to mate with the family's arabian mare. They held on to him for about six months, but times got hard and they offered Ghetty "free to a good home." He was picked up by a horse broker and sold at an auction to a man who eventually broke him and then attempted to resell him. He was unsuccessful, however, and Ghetty spent another year or two in the pasture unridden. By now he was four years old and was sold at the auction again. This time, he fell into the hands of a little girl who wanted to ride cross-country. The family trained the horse for cross-country and the girl began riding him when he was five, competing until a bad fall left her paralyzed. Ghetty was once more abandoned in the pasture, this time for only six months until Ghetty was, for the third time, offered up at auction. Dylan just happened to be there and bought him and they have been together since.
